Shireen advises tech start-ups on AI risk management and compliance, and is a fellow at the Internet Law and Policy Foundry. Her prior experience encompasses working in tech policy, audit, and finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Bain & Co., and Columbia’s Center on Sustainable Investment. While at PwC she worked in the core assurance practice conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance testing for tech companies (ie. Twitter Inc.).
Shireen holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University where she studied policy and data analytics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.

Alisar is the Head of AI Policy at Duco specializing in risk assessment and mitigation strategies for AI systems. She leads teams to comprehensively examine AI model risks, covering business impact, reputation, legal compliance, and ethical considerations. Alisar is dedicated to shaping effective policies for responsible AI development and implementation. Her experience spans roles at Meta, CivicSync, Incluu, and the U.S. Census Bureau, where she drove initiatives to reduce bias in AI algorithms and improve operational efficiency in AI applications. Alisar holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
